Night safaris are not available everywhere. They are very interesting however, and there are various very common species that are out and about that you will hardly ever see during the day. With luck you may see some rarity such as an aardvark or porcupine.
There is also a totally different atmosphere at night and you really don't know what is round the next bend or indeed standing on the road not far in front of you.
