Sabi Sands game reserve is part of the Greater Kruger sysytem, and has an unfenced 50km border with it, allowing the free passage of wildlife between the two.
Kruger is over 2 million hectares whereas Sabi Sands is only 62,308 hectares
Sabi sands is further divided into a number of private game reserves, but all offer great game viewing. The reserves have strict regulations regarding animal sightings to ensure they are not overcrowded and the animals are not stressed.
It is a world renowned area for leopard spotting.
It is also a 'Big Five' reserve although mostly white rhinos.
